Hayden Panettiere’s father has been charged with assaulting his wife last month at their home in West Hollywood. Alan Panettiere, 49, was charged with misdemeanor battery and could end up in jail if convicted, Los Angeles prosecutors reported. He allegedly hit his wife (Lesley Vogel) one or two times on the cheek causing bruising with a closed fist. Alan, however, has excused himself, saying it was all a “misunderstanding” and that “nothing actually happened,” while Hayden claimed, “It was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame.”
